All NZ Crane Group operators are fully qualified to NZQA standards or actively training to earn a qualification.

The skills of our staff have been recognised with two Crane Association ‘Crane Project of the Year' Awards in 1997 and 2000.


Members of our management team work at the cutting edge of the industry, have served on the National Executive of the Crane Association and have also been founding members of various industry bodies, including the Elevating Work Platform Association of NZ, and SiteSafe (NZ's Construction Industry Safety Organisation).


While our fleet of almost 50 cranes ranges up to 300 tonnes we also offer smaller lifts that provide practical and useful solutions for any project.


Cranes are nothing without the expertise of our operators and our sales supervisors. We have specialists in precast concrete placement, tower crane erection and dismantling, Autocad lift planning, overdimensional transportation, marine, heavy vehicle salvage, machinery moving, project management and anything else you could require, no matter how fiddly or tricky.
